An old house on Yaroslavskaya Street, 13-b was demolished illegally. The Department for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of the KSCA did not give consent to such work.

"The Department for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of the KSCA did not coordinate the dismantling of the house at 13-B Yaroslavskaya St. According to the Department, the scientific and design documentation for the construction at this address was not submitted for approval," the KSCA said in a statement.
The Department also noted that the building does not have the status of a memo. But after receiving information about the dismantling, the Department's inspectors immediately left and recorded the work on dismantling the house.
The specialists also promptly called the law enforcement officers and made a statement about the initiation of criminal proceedings. An order to stop work was sent to the owner and a request to send scientific and design documentation to the Department.
According to the Department of Territorial Control of the city of Kyiv, the card for violation of landscaping was canceled on July 31. The inspectorate made instructions and drew up an administrative protocol.
Earlier, the media reported that on the morning of August 10, a wooden 200-year-old house on the street was demolished in Kyiv. Yaroslavskaya, which was a model of residential development in the city of the 19th century.
The Kyiv police said that a criminal case had been initiated into the demolition of the house under Article 356 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - "Arbitrariness".
