Ukrzaliznytsia launched online ordering of special railcars for people with disabilities

Ukrzaliznytsia is launching an online service where you can reserve special carriages for persons with group I disabilities or children with disabilities, wheelchair passengers and their accompanying persons. This function is also valid at the station ticket offices.

As indicated on the Ukrzaliznytsia website, an application for an inclusive carriage must be submitted through the online service at least 3 days before the date of the planned trip. Within 24 hours, the operators will accept the application for work and contact the customer of the service.

You can receive and pay for tickets at the box office no later than 1 hour before the train departure.

The company reminded about the possibility of getting the services of a station assistant who will help with luggage and boarding passengers.

The fleet of UZ has 50 wagons with lifts or ramps, of which 37 are new generation wagons that were built during the last year. All these cars have conditions for inclusive use, in particular, there is a universal toilet and a compartment equipped for the needs of people with disabilities.

The new UZ cars are equipped with sleeping sofas that can change the angle of inclination and fix the body, a remote control for adjusting the lighting, a button for addressing the conductor and a device for speakerphone with him.
