Starting from December, Kyiv will introduce incentive payments to city residents who will serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The mayor of the capital, Vitaliy Klitschko, reported this on Telegram.
“The Kiev City Council, at the next meeting, will consider the issue of material incentives for Kiev residents who will be mobilized into the Armed Forces from December. The city has found funds to pay 30,000 to each recruit,” Vitali Klitschko said.
Let us recall that at the previous session of the Kyiv City Council, expenses for the Armed Forces of Ukraine under the “Defender of Kyiv” program were increased. In particular, 300 million hryvnia are additionally provided for military units that have applied for help.
Earlier it was reported that, on the initiative of Vitali Klitschko, Kyiv increased spending on supporting security and defense forces to UAH 6.2 billion in 2023.
