From September 1, three formats of education will operate in Ukrainian schools. How will they choose

From September 1, three formats of education will operate in Ukrainian schools. Each region has its own - depending on the security situation.

This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during the meeting, his Telegram reports.

"On the part of the IAA, there should be regular monitoring of the security situation in communities. Depending on the level of threats, they will adopt a training format - face-to-face, online or mixed," he said.

Shmyhal stressed that where there is a threat to the life or health of children, there will be no offline, that is, full-time education.

"Local authorities best understand the situation in their communities, and therefore the final decisions on the format of training will be made on the ground," the prime minister added.

The situation with shelters in schools According to Shmygal, 68% of educational institutions have various types of shelter.

"This allows 4.7 million students and teachers to be accommodated there. But this is not enough. Local authorities should act more actively. The Cabinet of Ministers allocated money for shelter back in April - UAH 1.5 billion," he said.

In 2023, it is planned to equip almost 1.5 thousand shelters, in total they need to be built 5.4 thousand. All of them must meet the criteria of reliability, barrier-free and energy efficiency.
