On the night of February 3, Russian troops carried out a massive attack on the capital using drones. As a result of the shelling, damage was recorded to residential and non-residential buildings, fires and disruptions in the infrastructure in several districts of Kyiv.
According to the city authorities, in the Darnytskyi district, a non-residential building was hit, and falling debris caused a fire on the roof of a 26-story residential building. Warehouses were also on fire. All fires have been extinguished.
In the Dnipro district, UAV debris fell on several residential buildings - facades and glazing were damaged, and a fragment of the outer wall was destroyed in one of the five-story buildings. In addition, debris fell on the territory of a kindergarten and open areas.
In the Shevchenkivskyi district, a drone was recorded hitting a 22-story residential building at the level of 16–17 floors. Rescuers extinguished a fire with an area of about 90 m².
In the Pecherskyi district, the debris of the UAV damaged a gas station building, four cars and power lines. In the Desnyanskyi district, the debris fell on an open area.
“Two people were injured in the capital, medics provided them with assistance on the spot,” the city administration reported.
Emergency power outages have been introduced in Darnytskyi and Dniprovskyi districts due to damage to infrastructure. In total, 1,170 multi-storey buildings in Kyiv were left without heat supply. Utilities and energy workers have already begun restoration work.
