In Kyiv, due to the emergency closure of a section of the “blue” metro line between the Teremki and Demeevskaya stations, ground transport traffic has been organized. In the coming hours, the number of buses and trolleybuses duplicating the routes of closed metro stations will increase to 77 and 20, respectively.
According to the mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko, this amount of ground transport will be able to transport 14-15 thousand people per hour. For comparison, the metro in this section transported about 12 thousand people per hour.
Currently, experts are establishing the causes of the emergency. And restoration work can take up to six months.
“According to preliminary calculations, restoration work can last up to 6 months and will be carried out on the surface. Experts are investigating the causes of the emergency that occurred in the tunnel on the section of the blue metro line between the Teremki and Demeevskaya stations. Train traffic there was closed. And now closed. They run between the stations "Heroes of the Dnieper" - "Lybidskaya," Klitschko added.
Due to the restriction of the movement of metro trains on the Teremki - Demeevskaya section in Kyiv, the movement of ground transport has been changed.
