Microsoft вскоре прекратит поддержку одной из версий Windows

В начале следующего года Microsoft прекратит поддержку Windows 8.1. В компании считают, что операционная система достаточно устаревшая. Кроме того, владельцы Windows 8.1 без проблем могут обновиться в Windows 10 или 11, сообщает 24 канал.

Рассылка с уведомлением о прекращении обслуживания с 10 января 2023 года начнется уже в следующем месяце. Это будет первое упоминание о скором прекращении жизненного цикла ОС.

Чтобы продолжить обновления продуктов Microsoft 365, рекомендуется обновить Windows 8.1 до поддерживаемой операционной системы, говорится в сообщении компании.

Microsoft уточнила, что большинство компьютеров с Windows 8.1 несовместимы с Windows 11.
