The capital continues to operate an extensive network of pump rooms designed to provide residents with water in the event of interruptions in the centralized water supply. This was reported by the Kyivvodfond State Water Supply and Utilities Fund.
"Currently, more than 170 pump rooms are operating in Kyiv, and 154 of them have the technical capability of connecting to generators," the company noted.
The Kyivvodfond explained that the pump room network serves as a temporary source of water for Kyiv residents in the event of a power outage at pumping stations until the water supply system is fully restored.
Pump rooms are within walking distance in all districts of the capital. They are marked in different colors on the electronic map: in particular, purple indicates pump rooms that can be powered by generators.
The city administration also reminded residents that special instructions and recommendations, including sign language translation, have been prepared for Kyiv residents in the event of power outages.
