On the night of August 21, rescuers extinguished a fire in a warehouse building in the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv, which broke out after a repeated Russian attack on the capital.
As reported by the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kyiv, the fire occurred on the evening of August 20 as a result of repeated shelling of the city. The fire engulfed a warehouse building with an area of 400 square meters.
Rescuers quickly arrived at the scene and worked to localize the fire. The fire was finally extinguished at 00:07 on August 21.
According to the State Emergency Service, one person was injured as a result of this incident.
The State Emergency Service emphasized that this was the third attack by Russian troops on the capital in one day.
The massive attack, which began on the night of August 20, caused the death and injury of Kyiv residents, as well as extensive damage to civilian infrastructure.
According to rescuers, as of August 21, since the beginning of enemy attacks on the capital, 16 people have been killed and 42 people have been injured. At the same time, 12 people were rescued during emergency rescue operations.
“Rescuers continue to work at the sites of strikes and eliminate the consequences of Russian aggression,” the capital’s Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine said.
Kyiv residents are urged not to ignore air raid sirens, to stay in shelters during a threat, and not to approach emergency services.
