In Kyiv, on Bolshaya Vasylkivska Street, a Toyota Avensis car left the roadway and crashed into a stop with people.
This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv police.
After receiving a report of an accident, an investigative team and doctors immediately went to the scene of events.
According to preliminary data, a 27-year-old car driver, moving along the roadway, lost control and drove onto the sidewalk. As a result, he hit two pedestrians who were standing at a public transport stop.
The victims received injuries of varying severity. Now doctors are providing them with the necessary assistance.
The driver was tested for intoxication. He was sober.
Law enforcement officers opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Art. 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - violation of road safety rules or operation of transport by persons driving vehicles.
“The issue of reporting suspicion to the driver is being resolved. The pre-trial investigation continues,” the press service writes.
