Bad weather is expected in Kyiv in the coming days, the entry of trucks will be limited

In Kyiv, on November 26 and 27, heavy snowfalls and ice are expected. On Monday, the entry of large vehicles will be limited.

This was reported by the Telegram channel of Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko.

On the day of November 26 and at night on November 27 the following are expected:

  • significant increase in snow cover;
  • wind increase up to 17-22 m/s;
  • snowstorms;
  • snow drifts;
  • black ice.

“The entry of large vehicles into the city on Monday, November 27, will be limited,” Klitschko writes.

The mayor urged drivers and pedestrians to take into account bad weather and be careful on the roads, in particular:

  • unless absolutely necessary, do not travel to the city in a private car;
  • give preference to public transport;
  • Do not park cars along roadsides and on sidewalks, so as not to interfere with the work of snow removal equipment.

“This season in Kiev, 525 units of primary and additional special equipment from Kievavtodor will fight ice and remove snow on roads, bridges and sidewalks in Kiev. In total, 17.3 thousand tons of salt and 54.5 thousand tons of sand have been prepared,” the mayor added .
