Fog and wind: yellow danger level declared in Kyiv

According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, fog with visibility of 200-500 meters is expected in Kyiv on December 3 at night and in the morning. During the day, wind gusts can reach 15-20 meters per second. There is ice on the roads.

Drivers are advised to reduce speed, turn on fog lights, maintain a safe distance from other vehicles and avoid sudden maneuvers.

City residents should close their windows tightly, stay away from billboards, power lines, trees, and take shelter in the nearest building or natural shelter in case of strong winds.

Recommendations for drivers:

• Reduce your driving speed to 30-40 kilometers per hour.
• Turn on the fog lights.
• Keep a safe distance from other cars.
• Avoid sudden maneuvers.
• When stopping, turn on your hazard warning lights.

Recommendations for city residents:

• Close your house windows tightly.
• Stay away from billboards, power lines, trees.
• In case of strong winds, take shelter in a nearby building or natural shelter.
• Avoid being near large trees and do not park vehicles near them.
