On August 18, a new functionality was launched on the Kyiv Services Portal, which allows parents to monitor the situation with the queue to communal preschool education institutions in more detail.
As reported in the Department of Information and Communication Technologies of the KMDA, now in the "Registers" section, parents can see how many applications have been submitted to a particular kindergarten, how the groups were formed and how many places are left in them.
Previously, the electronic system mainly showed the child's personal place in the queue to the chosen institution. However, this was not enough to assess the chances of enrollment, because the groups are completed separately by age — kindergarten, junior, middle and senior.
Now the information is displayed taking into account the age group. This enables parents to more realistically assess the prospects of their child entering a particular kindergarten and, if necessary, consider another institution in advance.
"The update gives parents more information for planning and makes the kindergarten enrollment process more transparent. "Families can see not only the position in the queue, but also the situation with the filling of specific age groups," noted the KP "GIOC".
Among the possibilities of the new functionality:
Separately, the system can track changes in the queue, in particular, related to the confirmation of benefits and other priorities provided by law.
The city authorities note that digital educational services continue to be developed taking into account the needs of parents. The next stage should be the display of the child's personal queue directly in the parent's office on the Kyiv Services Portal.
