Drivers are warned about partial traffic restrictions on the European Square until August 23

From August 15 to 23, current repairs of the roadway will be carried out on European Square in the Shevchenkivskyi district of the capital. Due to the work, traffic on this section will be partially restricted.

This was reported by the Kyivavtodor Road Maintenance Department.

The repairs will be carried out by specialists from the Shevchenkivskyi Road Maintenance Department. The work will be organized in stages and alternately, so there are no plans to completely block traffic.

“The work will be organized in stages to maintain the possibility of passing through European Square. At the same time, drivers should take into account temporary restrictions and plan their route in advance, if possible,” — noted in "Kyivavtodor".

Thus, during the repair period, drivers will be able to drive through European Square, however, the number of available lanes and traffic organization may temporarily change depending on the stage of the work.

What drivers should consider

Since European Square is located in the central part of Kyiv, repair work may affect the traffic intensity on nearby streets. During rush hours, traffic may slow down and local congestion may occur.

Drivers are recommended to:

  • if possible, avoid traveling through European Square during peak hours;
  • before leaving, check the current traffic situation;
  • allow additional time for the trip;
  • if possible, choose alternative routes through the central part of the city;
  • carefully follow road signs and instructions of workers who will organize traffic in the repair zone.

Kyivavtodor apologizes for the temporary inconvenience and urges road users to take into account the restrictions when planning routes.
