Archive certificates without queues: Kyiv residents can order documents online through the Kyiv Services Portal

A new digital service of the State Archive of the City of Kyiv has been launched on the Kyiv Services Portal, which allows residents to remotely order archival services, monitor the status of consideration of an application, receive notifications and pay for services online.

The launch of the new functionality was announced by the Deputy Head of Kyiv City State Administration Valentyn Mondryivskyi.

"Archival documents are often needed to solve important life issues - confirmation of property rights, registration of inheritance, restoration of documents or family history research. We continue to digitize city services to make them as accessible and convenient for people as possible. From now on, you can submit a request to the State Archives of the City of Kyiv, receive an invoice, pay for the service and track the status of the request in one place - on the Kyiv Services Portal," said Valentyn Mondryivskyi.

The new service combines all the main stages of interaction with the archive in the user's personal account. Through it you can:

• order a search for information about birth, marriage or death;
• receive confirmation of property rights;
• submit a request regarding the renaming of streets, institutions and other objects;
• make an appeal in an arbitrary form regarding the documents stored in the State Archives of the city of Kyiv.

Simultaneously with the launch of the new service, the official website of the State Archive of the City of Kyiv was also updated. It contains digitized documents, information about archival funds, the procedure for providing services and application forms for those who wish to apply in person.

Individuals, individual entrepreneurs and legal entities can use the online service. It is allowed to submit requests both in relation to one's own data and in relation to other persons or objects — within the limits of the current legislation.

To apply, you need to log in to the Kyiv Services Portal, fill out an electronic form and add the necessary documents. The process takes about 10 minutes. After processing the application, archive specialists assess the possibility of fulfilling the request and form an account depending on the complexity of the search works. The standard term for providing the service is from one month.

Certain categories of citizens, in particular veterans, Defenders of Ukraine and persons with disabilities, can use the benefits provided by the law.

According to Valentin Mondryivskyi, the development of digital services remains one of the key directions of the city government's work.

"We want important municipal services to be available regardless of where a person is. Online access to archival services is especially important for those who live outside of Kyiv or abroad and do not have the opportunity to visit the archive in person. At the same time, the possibility of receiving the service offline in the State Archive of the City of Kyiv remains," the official emphasized.
