Kiev region switches to distance learning due to bad weather

Due to worsening weather conditions in the Kyiv region, all schools in the region will switch to distance learning on November 27, Monday. This decision was made at an operational meeting of the commission on issues of technological and environmental safety and emergency situations.

This was reported by the Kiev OV in Telegram.

According to weather forecasters, heavy snowfalls are expected in the Kyiv region in the coming days, which could lead to poor visibility and impede traffic on the roads.

“We care about the safety of residents of the region. Transferring schools to distance learning will avoid a collapse on the roads and will enable the relevant services to quickly clear the roads in case of snowfall,” the Kiev Regional State Administration said in a statement.

In addition, residents of the Kyiv region were urged to stay at home on Monday if possible.

Bad weather in Ukraine

Bad weather has already begun in the Odessa region, where due to heavy snowfall and ice, traffic on several highways is limited or completely blocked. In just a few hours in the morning, about 50 accidents occurred.

Snowfall is expected throughout Ukraine tomorrow, November 27. Snow, rain, sleet and fog are possible in places.
