The Olimpiyskaya metro station in Kyiv, which is not included in the list of six closed stations, is beginning to be flooded with water.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine (Styler project) with reference to a video that Kiev residents publish on social networks.
Passengers reportedly saw water on the rails. It comes from the walls and begins to flow in a small stream along the tracks.
Experts assure that everything is controlled there and when water flows little by little in the tunnel, it’s nothing to worry about.
Let us remind you that in the Kiev metro on December 8, the work of 6 metro stations from Demeevskaya to Teremki was stopped in order to avoid a future emergency situation. There, water began to flood the tunnel and it needs repairs.
According to city officials, the stations were closed for 6 months. In order to help passengers get to Lybidskaya and Teremki, ground public transport routes were launched.
The distillation tunnels between the Demeevskaya and Lybidskaya stations were constructed in the floodplain of the Lybid River in 2008-2010 using the underground method in difficult mining and geological conditions.
